Healthy, Handy, Yummy! – ONIGILLY [Oh-KNEE-Ghee-Lee] serves traditional Japanese rice balls made with partially milled organic brown rice and savory fillings wrapped in quality seaweed from Japan.

OUR STORY

We created “Healthy, Handy, Yummy!” Onigilly in 2007, with the goal to bring Japan’s favorite comfort food, onigiri, to the US. With help from La Cocina’s incubation program, we began operations as a street food cart in 2010, and in September 2012 we opened our first restaurant.

ONIGILLY promotes healthy eating habits. We use nutrient-rich, high quality ingredients. Each ONIGILLY is made fresh to order.

HANDY 

Our signature food onigilly was inspired by Japanese traditional onigiri and evolved to meet American’s satisfaction. We offer handy and convenient menu that are portable, quick and easy to eat, and affordable, which makes them perfect as your everyday food option. 

HEALTHY

We use nutrient-rich and all natural ingredients whenever possible in the effort of offering healthy meals to our guests. 

YUMMY

We offer a variety of combinations, from which guests can pick and choose for their preference and balanced diet. This offers a Bento concept that Japanese people have enjoyed for centuries. We offer balanced healthy meals as well as a joy of building your own combination. 

CUSTOM MILLED ORGANIC BROWN RICE 

Our rice is from Chico, California. Rice is our main ingredient, and that’s why we choose the highest quality, organic brown rice. We custom mill the brown rice, thus it’s easy to eat and digest like white rice yet has the nutritional benefits of brown rice. 

OUR SEAWEED 

We proudly serve high quality Nori seaweed from Ariake Sea in Kyushu JAPAN. Ariake Nori is famous for its softness and good natural UMAMI.


GUIDELINES


SERVICE HOURS:

   San Francisco: Monday-Friday 11am-4pm (Closed on weekends and holidays).
   Palo Alto: 7 days a week 11am-9pm
 

ORDER DEADLINE: 

   Orders must be placed 24 hours prior to your event. 

MINIMUM ORDER:

   $100 for pick-up and $200 for delivery (before tax and fees apply)   

DELIVERY FEE:  

   Delivery within San Francisco: $10-$20 depending on distance
   Delivery outside San Francisco: Depends on distance
   Delivery 5+miles around Palo Alto: $20 minimum fee

RESTAURANT PICK-UP: 

   San Francisco: Orders are available for pick-up only at  our Kearny location.
   Palo Alto: Pick-up is available. 

CANCELLATION:

    Must be made 24 hours prior to delivery/pick-up date or subject to full charge. 

OTHER:

    Menu, prices, and minimums can change at any time at ONIGILLY’s discretion.
